TLC’s long-running series ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ is currently in its sixteenth season and Puerto Rican model and new bride Cami-Li is set to appear in Saturday’s episode with host Randy Fenoli.
But the Miami-born beauty isn't into the traditional white or off-white dresses most women wear today. "I haven't even shown my entourage and already five people have come up to me saying they love my dress," said Cami during the show.
In the Latino culture wearing white on your wedding day is seen as a sign of purity and blessings in your married years to come.
In the clip below, the 31-year-old model is adamant about wearing a black dress for her special day, but first, she must get her mother’s approval. While Cami tries on a gorgeous black gown in the fitting room, her mother worries she won't honor her wishes when it comes to wearing white.
Watch the clip above of the Puerto Rican model trying on the black dress and her family’s priceless reaction. Would you wear black on your wedding day? Let us know in the comment section.
