Amara La Negra Speaks Out On Being Afro-Latina On 'The Real' Talk Show

VH1′s Love & Hip Hop: Miami's Amara La Negra is keepin' it funky once again, but this time it's with the ladies of FOX's Daytime talk show, 'The Real'.

While on the live segment, GirlChat the Dominican star shared her frustrations with the hosts on the lack of representation in the media when it comes to Afro-Latinos. The Miami-born singer said, "Why can't I represent what a Latina looks like today", during her time and she has a point!

Since her debut on the VH1's hit series, La Negra has used her platform to speak out on behalf of the Afro-Latino community, while being authentically herself to all her followers and fans.

Though the proud Afro-Latinas has referred to Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and Sofia Vergara, she cleared the air during this interview to express her respect and gratitude for them.
