Bella Thorne Tells Followers She Was Sexually Abused Until Age 14

Following the Harvey Weinstein scandal, many stars in Hollywood came forward with sexual harassment allegations.

Back in December, Bella Thorne was the latest actress to reveal she was sexually assaulted after a Twitter user claimed the Famous in Love star was molested. Though the Latina did not elaborate on the incident she did tweet, "The world can be a sick place sometimes."

But on Sunday the Cuban-American beauty took to Instagram to show her support for #TimesUp, an anti-harassment action plan created by hundreds of powerful women, by opening up about her past sexual abuse. 

"I was sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14..when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it. All damn night. Waiting for someone to take advantage of my life again. Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did. But some of us aren't as lucky to get out alive. Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup," the Shake It Up alum captioned the photo.

The social post comes in the midst of #TimesUp movement during the Golden Globe, where Hollywood women stood up against sexual misconduct by wearing black. America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, and other Latinas celebs graced the red carpet in gorgeous monochromatic gowns in solidarity to the movement.
